House [|] [2010 04 28 14:06:40]

Housing has rarely been an easy thing for me. Except when my parents moved. I barely remember it being any trauma. These days, however, it is always a drama.

I'm still renting but I have the opportunity the buy. Typically this take some time and in the meantime by lease will end. What do I do in the meantime? I suspect moving into a random share house until I sort out buying.

I think I move on average every 18 months. It will be strange if I manage to buy a house and stay there longer. I -want- to stay for several years, at least until my daughter goes to senior school.. erm... year 11/12. Then I can expect her to travel further.

Internet Corpse [|] [2010 02 23 13:08:58]

Here lies eolh.org blog.

Surely you should be on Facebook or Twitter by now.

Okay, look, this site stays up as long as http://www.rpgmeetup.com/ does. It's far more active.

I wonder how long newspapers will last with all this microblogging of events. I guess once people who want to read them stop doing so.

My daughter has been sick for a few days now, and it's my turn to stay home with her.

Dead Space [|] [2009 11 27 16:52:09]

Seriously, this place is dead. Sure, it looks nice, I guess?

To save you the trouble, I've created this so you don't have to look anywhere else. Sure, it's not pretty, but it works.

C'mon, who uses normal plain blogging anymore? It's Web 2.0!

Microblogging [|] [2009 07 02 16:40:40]

Ooops, I've really been neglecting this ancient site. It was kinda kewl when I was hating more painful things like LiveJournal, but now it has an IM interface, so I blog fast on that.

However, most of my inane chatter goes to twitter.com/eolh. It's not quite the same as my blog entries but it's much faster. Other people have also stopped blogging on their usual sites for twitter. The way of the internet, I suppose.

I've also been suffering with KDE4. It's okay, if you don't use it for very long and have a powerful machine. It's kinda like Vista in a way. Otherwise it's horribly pretty and pointless. Like Vista.

I'm moving tomorrow, finally got a real rental place with some friends. Nice and close to the Gungahlin town centre. I hope things work out well. More importantly, I hope I can find a place to buy and do the same thing and not move for many years. 7 years would be good.
